Authority Content

Start here! Before you do your monthly video please make 3 Authority Content videos (if you’ve already done this, move on to the next section!)

Here’s the Strategy:

Create 3 base videos for your Youtube channel (and you can repurpose them for Instagram, Facebook or wherever you want them!). This will serve as a foundation for your real estate brand and it gives interested leads a way to consume more of your content, get to know you and your knowledge even further, and helps move them from a completely cold lead (total stranger) to a red hot lead (a new client!).

People want to work with those they know, like, and trust, and video content is one of the very best ways to do that. They get to see your smiling face, get to know you and how you operate, and get to know the area with the help of your expertise! These videos when posted to Youtube have the potential to show up in Google searches, enhancing your local reach and enabling you to get in front of more potential buyers & sellers.

So before you start filming the monthly video below, please film 3 Authority Content videos. Here are a few ideas:

  • What [$] Gets You in [City]
  • Home tours in [City]
  • New construction tour in [city]
  • Neighborhood tours/guide in [city]
  • Everything I do for a new listing in [City]
  • Come do an open house with me in [City]
  • 5 Best things about living in [City]
  • 10 Common Questions i always get asked as a [City] Real estate agent

Sensing a theme? We want to position you as THE authority in your city. So having local-focused real estate content for your 3 Authority Content videos is key to building your name recognition, as well as trustworthiness and credibility for new leads.

Note: If you’ve already completed this step and have your 3 Authority Content videos posted, move on to the next step (filming & publishing your monthly Brand Builder video below).

Instructions:

1️⃣ Pick your price point

Choose one price point that makes sense for your market (ex: $300K, $500K, $750K, etc.).

You can also choose a specific angle like:

  • first-time buyer
  • family home
  • condo/townhome
  • move-up buyer

2️⃣ Choose 3–5 homes to feature

Pick current or recent listings in your city around that price point.

For each home, make sure you have:

  • price
  • beds/baths
  • square footage
  • neighborhood
  • 1–2 standout features

3️⃣ Plan your video flow

Keep it simple:

  • quick intro
  • home #1
  • home #2
  • home #3
  • quick recap
  • CTA

This makes the video easy to film and easy for viewers to follow.

4️⃣ Film your intro + outro

Record a short intro and outro on camera.

You can film:

  • in your office
  • in a bright room at home
  • outside a listing
  • in your car (parked)

Keep it casual and conversational.

5️⃣ Gather visuals for each home

Use:

  • your own listing clips/photos
  • listing photos (if you have permission)
  • neighborhood clips (streets, parks, coffee shops, etc.)

No video footage? You can still make this with:

  • talking-head clips
  • listing photos
  • simple slides/screen recordings

6️⃣ Add text overlays for each home

Add simple on-screen text for each property:

  • price
  • neighborhood
  • beds/baths
  • square footage
  • one standout feature

Example:
$525,000 | 3 bed | 2.5 bath | [Neighborhood]
Updated kitchen + fenced yard

7️⃣ Keep it moving

Aim for about 4–8 minutes total.

Keep each home section short and focused so people stay engaged.

8️⃣ End with a clear CTA

Tell viewers what to do next:

  • comment their budget
  • DM you for a custom list
  • click the link below for available homes

Make it easy for them to take the next step.
